OUR LITTLE GETAWAY

Since my sister is doing well the family decided to take a little jaunt to Minnesota's North Shore. It is, by far, the most beautiful part of Minnesota. We take the kids up there at least once a year for camping and hiking. This year we decided to stay in a cabin (my back was thankful). It is the perfect spot. It was just the vacation our family needed, only a 3 hour drive from my sisters if we had to return quickly.

Although the weather wasn't the best (it rained 3 days out of 5, we actually left on day 4 since the weather wasn't holding up), we still had a wonderful time. We were able to walk the nature trails at Gooseberry Falls , bike along lake superior , have a bonfire twice on the beach, look for agates and visit the small gift shops. We also spent the rainy parts of our days looking at land and realestate. (Yes, we have plans to move up north some day).
